On the Road with MAK Safety Services

At MAK Safety Services, we’re committed to bringing top-tier industrial training directly to businesses. Whether it’s forklifts, aerial platforms, skid steers, or other essential equipment, we ensure that workers are properly trained to operate them safely and efficiently.

This February, Mike has been busy conducting Train the Trainer and hands-on forklift training at various locations. Despite battling cold temperatures, we’ve successfully trained dozens of workers, making sure they have the skills needed to keep their workplaces safe and productive. Here’s a recap of the latest training sessions:

February 10-11: Staab Training

With the help of Sam Shirley, we conducted training sessions covering forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Even in the freezing weather, we successfully trained 29 individuals, ensuring they met safety standards for operating this equipment.

February 17: Gage Marine (Delavan, WI)

Another cold day, but that didn’t stop us! We started the morning with forklift and telehandler training, including a large boat-lifting forklift—a crucial piece of equipment for marine operations. In the afternoon, we covered boom and scissor lifts for an additional 33 trainees.

(We’re hoping to get more pictures of the large forklift soon—stay tuned!)

February 18: Elkhart Lake, WI

The cold continued, but so did the training! We worked with another group to provide forklift and telehandler certification, reinforcing safety protocols and best practices for handling these machines in various work environments.

February 22: Construction Site Training

Out on a job site, we worked with two small companies, training a group of eight workers. A unique challenge for this session—five participants were Spanish-speaking only. With the help of two translators, we delivered an effective, bilingual safety course. Despite the language barrier, everyone performed exceptionally well, demonstrating their understanding of safe equipment operation.

Looking Ahead

Training doesn’t stop, and neither do we! MAK Safety Services continues to travel, providing essential hands-on safety instruction. If your company needs forklift, aerial lift, telehandler, or skid steer training, we’re here to help—no matter the conditions.
